Oh I'm Way Behind...

We've just been busy! Packing, interviewing, figuring out moving stuff.....not anything fun but time consuming!

So of course this blog gets pushed aside!

The weather has been sooo annoying!! We'll have a few days of gorgeous sunny warm weather and then a few days of snow! Yes, snow. Sticking to the ground, icy roads, covering my car before work...it's BS!

But on those beautiful days (when I'm not working) we enjoy the outdoors as much as possible!

One of those days we read on the deck and soaked up the sun with Morgie!

We've also been cooking. Eggplant rollatini! Yummm!! They were soo good!

It was soo nice (of course right before Garrett flew out here) so we went to one of our favorite places, the Denver Beer Co.

Enjoying the sun!!!! And a delicious microbrew!

My new favorite beer of the moment! Left Hand Brewing Co 'Good Juju'. Mmmmm! And an awesome label too!

Collin's homemade pizza: pepperoni, mushrooms, jalapeno, mozzarella & romano cheeses.

And my creation...while Collin was in PA I made myself some ahhhhmazing shrimp tacos!

More to come.....G-man flew out for a visit and I haven't had a chance to post about it! Next time...

HI WE'RE MOVING

Oh boy oh boy oh boy! We can't stay put. We're moving again.

Where to you wonder?

Hmmm....

Not around Colorado...

Or any other state for that matter....

Yes...your dreams are coming true! (ok...just kidding)

We're coming, coming back, back to good ol' Pennsylvania. Yes, you heard that right. PA!

We don't really have many details nailed down yet. But we are coming back at the beginning of May. My parents are kind enough to fly out here, help us pack, (throwing a wedding dress try-on in the mix too) and drive back with us.

Reasons you ask?

Mainly: Denver is saturated with tooth docs and Collin has had a hard time finding a good job as an associate. He eventually wants to open his own practice or buy into a practice and we've decided that we would rather be near our families to do so.

I've been applying to jobs as well and I'm happy to say I've already had a couple interviews with the Emergency Room and the Intensive Care Unit! Really excited about that and we will see where I end up!

I'll keep you posted!

Sadly, this blog MIGHT die with the move.......????

Kiddos

Suk has not been forgotten! I know, according to my pictures it looks like she has but that is FALSE! Here is my little bundle of spots having some alone time, aka Morgan was closed in the kitchen and unable to sniff her out.

But back to my favorite child.....

Just kidding, Suki's still my favorite little gal. She's way more calm and way less needy than he is at this puppy age!
But here's the baby boy at 8 weeks old vs 18 weeks old....what a difference 10 weeks makes!!
And he's growing every day too!

Proud

My mom and nana told me about a mural and some faux painting that my mom was doing in my pop's nursing home room but I really had no idea of anything more than that. I've, of course, known that my mom was a super talented artist so I assumed it was beautiful but haven't had the chance to see it.

Recently, the Lancaster paper wrote up a story about the mural and it literally made me break down and cry. It was a great article but the comments from my pop and the smiling picture of my mom and pop in front of the mural just pushed me over the edge. It was awesome and I've never been more proud of my mom. So cool.

Obviously, this picture is blurry and doesn't do the painting or people any justice but if you go to the actual article and click on the picture it is much more clear.

Here's the link to the article!

Meat-a-bolls

Last Saturday it dumped snow in Denver. It started on Friday night, when we were thinking about getting tickets to go to the USA/Costa Rica World Cup Qualifier game. If you watched that game you know that it was seriously dumping snow. I was surprised that they finished the game actually. And I was reallllly happy that we didn't go, it would have been miserable (for me!...).

So, this morning we woke up to a super snowy scene, probably 8-10". We decided to head out to the grocery store and get stuff for some yummy weekend meals.

Saturday's meal was homemade meatballs. Mmmmmmmmm they smelled soooo good, I couldn't wait to eat them!!

After browning them we simmered them in sauce for about 4-5 hours. Collin made garlic bread as well....mmmmmmmm mmmm mmmmmm! Yumm!

Me & Nanny

I was sorting through some of my stored-away jewelry the other day and found a ring box. Inside was a ring that Nana gave me a few years ago (I think it's been that long!?). It was Nanny Knisely's engagement ring, my great grandmother. I was amazed at how similar it is to my ring... pretty cool...

Stone is a little different but hey, no complaints here!

Golden & Snuggles

We did some St. Paddy's day drinking this past weekend. People watching was the best part of that day.

Ben & I people watching. Collin went to high school with Ben! PA guy!
Drunk panda is all I have to say. If you come to the bar dressed as a panda, chances are, you're planning to get f*^k#% up...and that he did. Quite entertaining for the rest of the holiday drinkers!! Unfortunately, I was laughing too hard while he got thrown out of the bar (peaking back with one eye open) to take pictures.

The next day we went to Golden to hike with Morg. The trails were still completely covered with snow pack but Morg loved it. We let him off the leash and he would run ahead, stop, and look back until we got closer.

Some mornings when we don't work we bring Morg into bed with us for a little snuggling. The other morning we were....really tired....ok we were hungover from St. Patricks day drinking...and we brought Morg into bed around 7am. He ended up sleeping with us until about 10. He's not a morning dog...

Suk is slowly starting to give Morgan a little more of a chance. She realizes that he has not hurt her yet and although he's chased her a few times, she kinda likes it and knows we protect her in the end. Morgan is also realizing his boundaries with the kittay. He has been slapped with sharp claws enough to know that he can't come on as strong as he would like.

I had something else typed here but it didn't save properly and I can't remember for the life of me what it was...

Oh well...snow day here today. We're going to make meatballs from scratch, yum!

Some Randoms

My valentines flowers...

Morgan coming home from a vet appointment. I had him in the trunk with his big, soft bed and a bunch of toys to keep him content.
He wasn't having it and decided he'd rather sit in the back seat like a real kid...he brought some toys along with him too...
And showing his goods off to the world.

This is how Collin found Morgan when he got home from work. He didn't even try to get out, Collin had to take the blanket off of him for him to come out, hah!

Playing on the deck...

Giving him a 2 second chance...

Yummy filet and arugula salad dinner we made the other night...

Sunday funday in Boulder at Walnut Brewery...

Day off with Morgan, soaking up the sun.

Sunbathing...

Morgie at Denver Beer Company, huge hit!

Done with the weekend....back to work tomorrow! Have a great week!

Telluride Weekend

I wonder how many people have given up on this blog?......I would!!

Hi Uncle Rick!! :)

But here I go....weeks and weeks old...I shall post our Telluride trip.

Quite a few weekends ago (pre-ring a ling a ling) we headed dooooooown south to beautiful Telluride Colorado. Collin found a community health dentist job available, applied, and got an interview...perfect excuse to journey to Telluride, one of my favorite CO towns.

Being a six hour drive and since we left after I'd worked for 12 hours + commute time, we decided to drive a few hours and then get a hotel and snooze. We did just that and Morgan (who was along for the adventure) was happy for a break from the truck.

Wow this post really is overdue!! Look how wittle he is!

No, he didn't/doesn't sleep in bed with us. He has a cute red canvas travel crate that he loves. The next morning we got on our way pretty early and finished the drive into Telluride.

We checked into our hotel (which ended up being a big thumbs down) and Collin went to his interview. Morgan was going crazy so we went on a long walk while we waited for Collin to return. We brought our ski stuff but ended up deciding against it...we really find it hard to pay over $100 each!! Walking around Telluride was fun enough and Morgan got some exercise too.

We also decided on a new hotel for that night! Thankfully!! We stayed at the Mountain Lodge...hallelujah!

After settling in (aka getting Morgan fed, peed/pooped, and relaxed in his crate) we took the gondola to get a drink in Mountain Village.

We went to an awesome place called Tomboy Tavern. One look at their bloody mary and I was sold x100!

Yes...that IS shrimp, olives, lemon, celery, peperoncinis, and BACON. No brainer really.

We ate dinner at the Mountain Lodge restaurant. They had average live music but the food was pretty yummy. Only picture I took...

Morgie on the way home...

Great trip. Love Telluride. But not moving there.

Now off to a hike with Morg and Collin and then turning green and Irish!
