Girl's Bike Ride

One of the negatives of living in the Springs without any 'real' friends is that when Collin and I really start getting on each others nerves we have no one to go out with and blow off steam. A positive that has come from that negative is that we have learned (to some extent) when to battle and when it's not worth it. Well, yesterday was one of those days when we decided to battle (even though it wasn't worth it......) and I just wanted to get away and hangout with my girlfriends...as I'm sure Collin wanted some guy time. Later in the day I was talking with Allison and, knowing that I just got a new bike, she suggested we take a bike ride mid-way between Denver and the Springs. PERFECT!

We met up at the Santa Fe Trailhead and got ready to ride!

We rode for about an hour and a half and decided our butts were too sore to continue. Palmer Lake is so small that I don't even know if you can call it a town. We drove through looking for a place to grab some lunch and a beer and passed all five buildings before we realized we were already out of the town. We turned around and decided on O'Malley's Pub.

It was a perfect little small town bar with plenty of good old boys drinking on their lunch break. We ordered some wings, some beers, and split a sandwich. WINNING! The best wings I've had in Colorado if not the best wings ever. Crispy skin without being breaded and the best sauce too. Collin missed out. After lunch we had some more time to kill and decided to go to The Barn...my favorite store in Colorado.

Alli loved it too but she had to pick little Ju up from school so we are definitely making a date to go back and shop!

Collin just got home and after hearing about the wings he wants to go back for dinner...ugh sorry bud maybe later in the week.

Hope everyone's week is going well! :)
